Ralph T Parsons

Ralph T. Parsons passed away Thursday October 29, 2015. Mr. Parsons graduated Fairfield High School and attended Birmingham Southern College before enlisting in the Navy. He was a member of ATO fraternity at Birmingham Southern. Mr. Parsons was involved with sonar operations in the Navy. He was a recording engineer in the radio and television industry. He was an active member of the Birmingham Amateur Radio Club (HAM radio) for many years. His call number was W4PXN. Ralph also owned Parson’s Place Motel in Panama City Beach, Florida. Mr. Parsons was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Pinson and a member of the Masons and the Eastern Star.

He is survived by his very special friend Jeanette Thomas (Klink); special caregiver Lloyd Carrico; first cousins Junellen Bailey and Tom Densmore; his many neighborhood friends: and last, but not least, his dog Maggie.

Visitation will be Monday November 2, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 PM at Oakland Cemetery in Ensley.
