Melton, Katherine “Kat” Stone, age 88 of Trussville, AL went home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2012 with her loving daughter at her side. She was a loving and caring person. She was a member of Highland View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Bob Stone; son, Bobby Ray Stone; daughter, Joyce Nabers; daughter-in-law, Shirley Stone. Kat is survived by her husband, Dwight Melton; children, Sue Kerr, Gary (Joyce) Stone, Kathy (Don) Wilson; step-daughter, Connie Kresak; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 1 PM until service time at 2 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
