Mary Alice Parsons

Mary Alice Parsons, age 76 of Oneonta, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Leland Ross Hobbs; mother, Ethel June Keeton; and brother, Clifford Lee Hobbs.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Joseph Parsons; daughter, Racheal Lynne Gallant (Lee); sons, Louis Jacob “Jay” O’Hern III (Laurie) and Larry Paul Bingham (Chrissy); grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Gallant (Jessica), Heather Danielle Garner (Matt), Chelsea Danae Rogers (Blaise), Candace Moriah Smith (Brandon), Chloe Miriam Gallant, Gavin Michael Bingham, Tyler Garrett Bingham, Alyssa Michelle Bingham; and 10 great grandchildren. When she married Frank she gained children in love, Karen Peppers (Larry), Amy Bowles, Katie Carpenter (Calvin), David Parsons (Ana) and Matt Parsons (Jenny).

Mary was born in Pulaski, TN and moved to the Birmingham area at the age of 5. She graduated from Minor High School in 1965. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in 1979 and worked as the church/school secretary at Mountain View Baptist Church and School for 31 years.

Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 10 – 12:30 at Mountain View Baptist Church with her service beginning at 12:30. She will be laid to rest at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, AL.
