Margaret Lewis Kelley

Margaret Lewis Kelley died October 19, 2017 at her home in Birmingham, Alabama. Born August 14, 1930 in Brownsboro, Alabama, she spent most of her life in Birmingham where she worked at one time as the assistant administrator at Fairhaven Retirement/Nursing Home. She loved the church, singing in the choir, and she had a close relationship with God. Mrs. Kelley is preceded in death by her first husband Milton Lewis; her son, John Christian Lewis; and her grandson, Nathan Lewis. Mrs. Kelley is survived by her husband, Richard "Doug" Kelley; daughter, Nancy Holland; son, Wayne Lewis (Denise); granddaughters, Carolyn Lewis (Beth), Sara Ebersold (Clay), Rachel Holland, Shannon Roberts (Zach), and Heather Holland; grandsons, John Lewis and Jason Lewis; along with great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Lewis, Allyson Lewis, Connor Lewis, Charlie Bea Lewis-Gruver, Grant Lewis-Gruver, Isabella Roberts, Jordan Lewis, Matthew Lewis, and Stephen Lewis. Funeral Service for Mrs. Kelley will be on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel in Birmingham, Alabama with visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Irondale United Methodist Church, 400 Deering Street Irondale, Alabama 35210 www.irondaleumc.org or a charity of your choice.
