Linda Alsup Henderson

Linda Alsup Henderson, 82, went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2023. She was born on October 20, 1940, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a long time resident of Moody, Alabama. She graduated from Jefferson State Community College at the age of 41, Summa Cum Laude. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lee R. Alsup and Mattie Sue Hill; husband of 35 years, Charles K. Henderson. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Debra Cardwell (Matt) and Ken McLaughlin (Leticia); grandchildren, Jennifer Harper (Chris), Rachel Gooch (Nathan), Kasey Scott (Chris), and SaVanna McLaughlin; and five great-grandchildren; niece, Missy Wipperman (John); devoted friends, Evelyn Stutts and Dorothy Weissman; and many cherished family and friends.

A visitation will be on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 1pm-2pm at Johns Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel in the Celebration Chapel, followed by a celebration of life at 2pm. Interment will be at Birmingham’s historical Elmwood Cemetery at the mausoleum. Matt Cardwell and Larry Estock will officiate the services. The family invites attendees to a reception after the committal service at Elmwood Funeral Home in the Celebration Room.
