Leah passed away suddenly at age 61. Leah was born in Birmingham, AL to parents Mollie Kilgore Midlik and James Edward Kilgore (deceased). She graduated from W. A. Berry High School (1979) and received an Associate Degree from the University of Montevallo. She worked at various positions for Southern Living/Progressive Farmer for almost 30 years. She most recently worked at The Crossings at Riverchase. Leah had an artist’s heart and created many beautiful works of art including murals at the Southern Museum of Flight and countless Christmas Ornaments for family. She touched so many lives and was loved by her family and friends and cherished pets. In a final act of helping others, she was an organ donor. She is survived by her Mother, Mollie Midlik, Step-Father William Midlik, Brothers Rick Kilgore (Twila), Keith Kilgore (Diane), David Midlik (Mona), Joe Midlik and Sisters Patti Midlik Hendrix (Mike) and Catherine Key Christmas. She is also survived by numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7, at 2 pm at Riverchase Community Church, 2053 Old Montgomery Hwy, Hoover AL 35244
