Joyce Lee Everett, beloved mother of Mary (Bill) Sansing, Maria (Mitchell) Smith, Bill Everett, Dan (Carmen) Everett and James Everett, grandmother of John, Wendy, Tre, Katrina, Chrissy, Kris, Jessica, Zachary, Melissa and Oscar, great grandmother of ten, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013. Born March 2, 1932 in Pinson Fork, KY to Connie Aaron and Sadie Justice Booker, she was the oldest of six children. She served in the Women’s Army Corps at SHAPE Headquarters in Paris, France during the Korean War and retired from Circle K Corporation after 28 years of service. She is also survived by her sisters, Frankie (Theo) Darnell and Sally (Ronnie) Justice. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Tommy and Jimmy Booker, and her sister, Gloria (Guy) Miller. The family will receive friends at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. A family service will be held in the spring where she will be returned to her Kentucky home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jimmie Hale Mission/Jessie’s Place or Open Harvest Ministry at Bradford Sanctuary of Praise.
