Johnnie E. Morris, age 82 of Helena passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021. He was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and was retired from Steel City Erection Company Local #92. Johnnie was an Army veteran and was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Gail Morris.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen Coalson (Tim); son, Ken Morris (Joy); grandchildren: Sarah Morris and Kyle Coalson; brothers: Troy Morris (Linda) and Eugene Morris; sisters and brothers-in-law: Linda Ball (Floyd), Martha George, Eddie George (Bunnie); and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Johnnie will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211, The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home.
