JoAnn Graham Brown passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by friends and family on Friday, October 7, 2022. JoAnn was born in Belen, New Mexico on October 9, 1956 to Vincent and Stella Graham. She was survived by her siblings Bonnie Beebe and Mike Graham and preceded in death by her brother Joe Graham.
JoAnn served in the U.S. Navy from 1974-1977 where she met her husband Angus Brown Jr. After her honorable discharge from the Navy, she graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a clinical degree she used to work as a Medical Transcriptionist until she retired.
JoAnn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham where her warm smile and her gift of serving won the hearts of so many. JoAnn used her gifts while serving in local missions as well as missions outside the country.
The family would like to thank JoAnn's home church family and wonderful neighbors Sheila, Blanca (and family) and their dear friend Annette for their constant attention and support, especially through JoAnn's illness.
JoAnn is survived by her husband Angus Brown, her sons Angus Brown III (Lori) and Graham Brown (Charity); her grandchildren Clay Shriver, Eric Amato, Madisyn Brown, Charli Amato, Holli and Brody Brown.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel from 10:30am-12pm, graveside service following in Elmwood Cemetery at 12pm.
