Jane L. Wasson

Jane L. Wasson, age 89, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on October 24, 2018. She was a remarkable woman of grace, warmth, and kindness. Jane graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1947. She attended Howard College where she met her husband of 63 years, Curt Wasson Jr. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was raised in East Lake Methodist Church and became a charter member of St. John's Methodist Church in 1957. She was preceded in death by her parents Dudley and Hettie Lankford; her husband Curt Wasson Jr.; her son Curt Wasson III; and her brother Dudley Lankford Jr. She is survived by her daughter Leslie (Ken) Layton; and grandchildren Haley Layton and Anna (Roger) Layton Smith. Jane will be deeply missed but always treasured by her family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, October 27 from 12 PM to 1 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235. Service will follow at 1 PM. Burial at Forest Hill Cemetery.
