Glenna Smith Feller passed away on August 21, 2023. She was born in Harriman, Tennessee on January 18, 1927, the youngest of nine children. After graduating from Lincoln Memorial University, she married John T. Feller who then preceded her in death as did her older siblings and a daughter, Sarah Hamby (Sally). She received a Masters Degree from University of Tennessee and taught for about 25 years in the Hamilton County School system.
She was a long time member of Signal Mt. Presbyterian Church where, in earlier years, she was active in the women's programs as well as the Community Guild, Garden Club, and bridge clubs.
She is survived by a son, John T. Feller Jr. (Jack); son-in-law: Don Hamby; grandchildren: Sarah (Dustin) Rowland, Bo (Kim) Hamby, Thomas Hamby, Marianne Feller, Blair Feller, John A. (Elizabeth) Feller, great-grandchildren: Gianna Hamby, Savannah Jo Rowland, David Rowland, Sammy Rowland, and Daniel John Rowland; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for her will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404. Immediately following the graveside service there will be a visitation at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, 612 James Blvd, Signal Mountain TN 37377.
