EDWARDS, GARY WAYNE, age 73 of Trussville passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023. He is survived by his daughters, Kristy Montgomery (Kent) and Becca Leslie (Ernie); grandchildren, Steven Phillips, Dylan Montgomery, Bella Montgomery, Kenzie Leslie, Jocie Montgomery and Jason Montgomery; longtime friend and mother of his girls, Jan O’Neal; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his best friend and hunting partner, Pop. Gary loved the outdoors including hunting, farming and riding his tractors. He could fix anything and was a master welder. Gary was affectionately known as “Granddaddy” and will be missed by all especially his beloved cat, Ms. Scoot. He was a longtime employee of Southeastern Refrigeration. His family will celebrate his life with visitation on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 1-2 at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church with his service beginning at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the building fund at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
