Frances J. Davis

Frances Jones Wicks Davis went to be with her Lord Jesus on October 28, 2017 in Birmingham, AL at age 88. Fran was born on January 9, 1929 in Birmingham to Irene Moore Jones and John B. Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Sandi Wicks, grandsons Roy Harris (Rachel), Vaughn Harris (Ambre) and granddaughter Sunny Trautwein (Jody), great-grandchildren Ashtyn, Lee, Molly, Joseph, Claire, Bryant, Gavin, Ella Grace, Micah, Kayden, Joshua and Justus, sister-in laws Wilda Jones and Mary Jones, niece Elise Morris, nephews, Larry, Ronnie and Mike Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irene and John B Jones, husband Carl E. Wicks Jr, son Carl E. Wicks III, husband, C.E. Davis, brothers, John M. Jones and Jerry R. Jones. Fran was a "Judson Girl", accomplished pianist and organist, Samford graduate and former teacher. She loved her Lord, family and knitting. Visitation will be at Ridout’s Trussville at 10:00, service following at 11:30. Burial will be at Marvin's Chapel in Pinson immediately following the service.
