Emily K. Carroll

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Lucian Carroll, Jr. She is survived by her children, James Lucian Carroll, III (Norma), Trussville, AL, Susan Carroll Steele (Bruce), Mountain Brook, AL, Sarah Katherine Carroll (Barry Gilliland), Fairhope, AL, and John David Carroll (Shelia), Odenville, AL; grandchildren, Anne Carroll Hepburn (TJ), Hemet, CA, and Linda Carroll Lockett (Derick), Trussville, AL; and great-grandchildren Chloe Lockett and Max Lockett.

She was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Birmingham with her parents at a young age. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School, and working mother retired from Ford Tool and Carbide Company.

She was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church throughout her life, most recently at Cahaba Springs Presbyterian Church.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of St Martin's in the Pines and Sunrise Ridge Assisted Living for the compassionate care she received. Funeral service is to be held at Ridout's Trussville Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on January 13, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
