She was active in the Acipco Chapter #360 of the Eastern Star where she served as the Grand Worthy Matron. She also was an active member of the Arlington Garden Club.
She enjoyed working in her garden and working at a florist shop on occasion. She entered her plants at the State Fair and won 1st and 2nd place each time.
Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Every year, she enjoyed holding an open house where she served her famous red velvet cake. She was dubbed Ms. Red Velvet by the local firefighters who were often the recipients of her famous cakes.
The family would like to express their thanks to Troy Jacobs, UAB Geriatrics, St. Vincent’s Hospice, Brittany Scott and Kennetta Jones.
