Dulcie Hays Roberts

ROBERTS, DULCIE HAYS, age 99 of Trussville, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wyatt Roberts; daughter, Mertie Roberts Elliott; and grandson, Jim Elliott. She is survived by her daughters, Sue Roberts Blackerby (David) and Ruth Roberts Edgeworth (Buddy); sister, Dorothy Hays Chappell; grandchildren, Carol Sue Blackerby, Robert Flowers, Deborah Flowers Wiggins (Ron), Jennifer Flowers Byrd (Michael), Jerry Elliott and Jeffrey Elliott (Tara); great-grandchildren, Derek Blackerby (Jessica), Dale Herren (Michelle), Colby Sisson (Mandy), Tori Wiggins Chappell (Dan), Cassy Flowers, Isabella Byrd, Jaxon Byrd, Sofia Byrd, Catherine Threlkeld (Bradford), Annie Elliott, Mary Elliott, Emily Elliott, Rebekah Elliott, Davis Elliott and Jack Elliott; great great-grandchildren, Chloe Sisson and Wyatt Chappell; and several nieces and nephews. Monie started The Clothes Tree 50 years ago and was a member of Trussville First Baptist Church. She was very active with civic organizations and there was not another one like her. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 1-2 PM with her service beginning at 2 PM with Bro. Bobby Irwin and Pastor Chris Goins officiating.
