Dorothy L. Stuman-Jones

She was preceded in death by husbands Robert B. Stuman, Jr. and J. Arthur Jones. She is survived by daughters Barbara Stuman and Cathy Patterson (Steve); son Dr. Barry Stuman (Marian) of Birmingham; granddaughters Brooke Patterson and Lauren Stuman; and grandsons Michael Stuman and Patrick Patterson.

She was employed for thirty-four years with CLP Corporation / McDonald’s as executive secretary / public relations to the owners.

She was a member of Huffman Baptist Church for 60 years and was involved in many activities. She was actively involved in civic affairs in the City of Birmingham. She served as President of Huffman Business and Professional Women’s Organization and District Director of District VII and ran for state office. She was a member and past President of the Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She was a past member of Floradora Garden Club, past Chairman of the Birmingham Beautification Board, past Worth Matron of Wahouma Chapter No. 221 Order of the Eastern Star, Salvation Army, Opera Guild Member, and was a supporter of the Ronald McDonald House.

Visitation will be Monday, June 22, 2015 at 2:00 PM Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM on Monday.
