He was born on November 20, 1981, in Birmingham, AL, to Jeanne Dollar and Brian Arrowood, and was later adopted by Jeanne’s husband, Ronald Noble. Brian attended Moody High School in Moody, AL, and Lawrence County High School in Monticello, MS, where he explored diverse interests such as theater and football. He joined the Mississippi Army National Guard, leaving for bootcamp the day after his high school graduation. Brian chose to eventually study political science at the University of Mississippi and joined the Army ROTC program. After graduation, Brian served his country as a US Army Intelligence Officer in the 101st Airborne Division. He led a platoon to combat in Iraq in 2005/2006 in the 506th Regimental Combat Team “Currahee” and later served as a Battle Captain in the Brigade S2 Ops. Following his honorable discharge as a Captain in 2007, Brian attended the Cumberland School of Law where he was articles editor for the Cumberland Law Review, graduated 2nd in his class, and later returned as an instructor to teach Lawyering and Legal Reasoning. He spent most of his career practicing employment law, but it was his deep interest in alternative therapies that led him to meet the love of his life, Laura. At the time of his passing, Brian was in the midst of hiking the Appalachian trail to fulfill a long-time dream. Brian loved nature, helping others, and most of all, his sons and wife who visited him trailside shortly before his passing.
Brian survived by his wife, Laura Gadilhe Noble, sons Will Noble and Wyatt Noble and their mother, Alison Colby (Michael), brothers Eric Arrowood (Alyssa) and Levi Noble (Ashley), and countless other individuals who loved Brian along the way and treated him like family. Brian once said he was raised by a village, as those who opened their hearts and doors to him can personally attest.
Funeral services will be held at Ridout's Trussville Chapel in Birmingham, AL 35235. Brian will be interred at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Brian’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
