Bobby Lee "Sammy" Campbell, 72, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Viola Campbell. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carol Crane Campbell; brothers, W. Larry Campbell (Glenda), and Morris K. Campbell, Jr. (Carolyn) and many loving nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Sammy served in the U.S. Air Force and was a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was the CFO at AMICO and served as a "Big Brother" in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. He also served as a Mason in the Masonic Lodge in Chelsea, AL., lodge 886 and was a Zamora Shriner. Sammy loved fast sports cars and was a member of numerous car clubs. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a Celebration of his life following at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to any Shriners Hospital.
