Betty was born in Paul, AL, Conecuh County, on September 24, 1929 to Claude and Ellie Aplin. She went to Rawls High School and graduated from Montevallo College. She married William Harold Parker on August 17, 1948 at Acipco Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. Betty worked various jobs and retired from Jefferson County Health Department after 35 years. She was a devoted member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church for over 60 years. Betty was involved with her church circle, garden club, supper club, square dancing club, many community organizations. She also loved traveling abroad with family and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Parker, her parents, Claude and Ellie Aplin, her daughter, Susan Parker Marshall, her son, Timothy H Parker and grandson, Kyle Parker.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Patti Kizziah, sister, Mary Riordan. Grandchildren, Billy Marshall (Bethany), Adam Marshall (Alex), Kristin Stamps (Chris), Christopher Kizziah (Lauren), and Beth White (Daniel)
Great grandchildren, Emma Grace Marshall, Caitlynn Maye Marshall, AJ Marshall, Kayla Marie Parker, Brenlee Claire Kizziah, Ryker Garrett Kizziah, Parker Ann Marshall, Charlotte Parker Stamps, Harper Ann Marshall and Chase White. Son-in-Law, Mark Marshall and Daughter-in-Law, Cindy Parker along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home, 800 Dennison Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211.

Burial to follow.
Pallbearers will be Adam Marshall, Billy Marshall, Christopher Kizziah, Chris Stamps, Pat Riordan, Mike Marshall and Chase White.
