It’s been a while nephew, but my tears haven’t dried up yet. I know you’re ok because grandma is with you now. My heart can barely stand to beat somedays. I feel guilty for concentrating on my pain when o know your mom is so sad. Just know I think of you often and I miss knowing you are in the world.I pray peace will come soon to all those who loved and still love you so deeply.  Love your Aunt Laiko.

Selfishly, we were not ready to let you go.  But God had plans for you to touch lives beyond ours.   I am sure your beautiful smile and spirit are affecting those in Heaven. I imagine that when you arrived, you were met with enthusiasm from all branches of your family tree. They are proud of the man you are and what you accomplished on Earth in such a short time.

No no no! I was just literally trying to message you to tell you Mercy is gone, and that you are never allowed to die on me, because you two were some of the only beings that lived in such a deep and unique place in my heart and you were the only one left! 
I love you so much, you ass! 21 YEARS!!  No matter how many months we didn't talk, we could just pick right back up and talk for 5 or 6 hours to catch up.
What about all the little things we keep collecting for each other but never mailing?? What about the plan for if we hit 60 and are alone we just have to get tiny houses on the same property and aggravate each other every day?? You two knew places in my soul no others knew. 
I loved being a grumpy sarcastic ass with you, and making each other cringe by alluding we knew the other was actually a big softy, full of heart and vulnerability, Even though we would never admit it. Occasionally grumbling something about actually caring. I'm so angry at you for leaving, because my heart hurts so damn much and you still had so many lives to touch. 

It's been a while since you left us, but it seems like yesterday. I still think about you every day. I love you my beautiful nephew. I hope you are resting well. Aunt Laiko

Penny was special. 
A former student of mine at MSU, I teased him at his graduation that he still owed me a few conversations. He sheepishly said, "yes I do," and said he was going to keep in touch. Many students say that, of course. Penny followed through. He checked in regularly and let me know when he was near Jackson. When I saw him earlier this summer, it was clear that he was happy and living a life that he truly enjoyed. That is the consolation I hold dear. He was happy.
I very much wish I could be there today to honor his memory with all those many people who cherished him as friend or family. My deepest condolences to all who knew him.

Penny was one of the most kind people. He was a great listener, compassionate, and always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed. 

Miekeco most of our memories are from our childhood when you still lived in Detroit. However it always excited  me whenever you came back home. You will truly be missed. You were genuinely loved. Soar beyond the universe & watch over your mom & dad.

It was a pleasure being one of Penny’s architecture professors and seeing his happy face and infectious smile in class. He will be sorely missed.

I was privileged to have the opportunity to meet Anthony. He was kind funny and smart. 
I was just a teenager when he came into my life. 
When I turned 18 he came and visited and took me to get lottery tickets and cigars. 
Over the years we had many beautiful memories. One including a weird night where he got a hunter to give him a garbage bag full of deer meat...

Anthony could become friends with anyone.
I'm heartbroken.
