Ann R. Smith

She was born and raised in Bessemer but spent the majority of her adult life in Roebuck.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Deborah Ann (infant) and Janice Lynn Bishop; grandchild, J.W. Henderson; great grandchild, Jonathan Harris; brothers, Bill Ryan, Robert Ryan and Donald Ryan and sister, Edwina Keller.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Karl M. Smith; daughter, Diane (Larry) Layfield; grandchildren, Paul (Kara) Henderson of Trussville, AL., Wes (Melissa) Hughes of Spanish Fort, AL., and Debra (Cameron) Harris of Moody, AL.; great grandchildren, Logan Henderson, Jared Henderson, Alicia Harris, Parker Dodd, Brady Dodd, David Hughes, Ryan Hughes and Jani Hughes; sisters, Martha Jo Rayfield and Becky (Wayne) Fisher and a host of nieces and nephews.

Ann loved Alabama Football. She also loved playing bridge with friends, decorating for Christmas, working in the church and gardening.

Graveside service will be Monday December 11, 2017 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bessemer, AL. at 2:00 PM.
