Sharon A. Delehanty, 69 of Hernando, Florida passed away after an extended illness, lasting over several decades on Thursday, February 21, 2013 in the loving care of her family, the staff of Woodland Terrace and Hospice of Citrus County. She was born on Saturday, January 29, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York to Howard and Lucille (Kay) Dailey.
Sharon was a retired insurance underwriter and was of the Catholic faith. She was an avid New York Mets fan and enjoyed spending time with her grandson.
Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Martin Delehanty.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Delehanty of Hernando, Florida; son, Michael Francis Delehanty and wife Heidi of Hermitage, Pennsylvania and grandson, Michael James Delehanty of Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
Visitation, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Fero Funeral Home. Graveside service follows at 3:00 PM at Fero Memorial Gardens.
