Pat was my little league coach in the Peekskill Lapolla little league with the Pontiac Chiefs. We were city champions in 1971 and Pat was a great coach. His dad Tom was minor league coach with DeChristophers Pharmacy. Janene and I send our condolences to all the Fitzgerald family.

Dear Patrick 
I have come to this site many times to write and can not get through it. My memories go back not as long as most in your life but enough to cal you friend and know what a good man you were. Patrica was always your bride and up to your release from your entrapment of a body that became a shell no longer in use.  I so remember your beautiful wedding and always those twinkling blue eyes more so when Pat walked into the room.  I’ll think of you each time I eat Cheerios. My favorite too.  PBJ sandwich we shared on visits and mostly your calming presence as you called us “ The gals” when we scurried out the door on some adventure would stand in the door &  wave and always ask how it went and tell me about it upon return. 
I’ll miss you sitting outside reading  when I visit next and sharing a cup of coffee as we kid Pat for being a tea gal. 
I’ll end by saying when the stars are twinkling above. I know the one winking down is you nodding at me saying YES I’m looking after my sweetheart, my love of my life  then and now beyond ❤️💞💖💗💓

I will cherish not only the memories of his smile, but also how he shared it. 
He shared that smile with us as we lunched together and he was teasing Patricia. The more she giggled, the bigger his smile. 
"Oh, quit!" Patricia scolded, and he laughed a loving laugh.
Soon, we were all giggling like children. 
A happy recollection for all of us that day.

Patrick - whenever I'd ask 'how are you?' - you would always answer with WONDERFUL!  You really lived each day as a glorious gift.  A great example of how to be gracious & appreciative of each day.
