Jeanne Marie Kirk

Jeanne Marie Kirk, 77, passed away peacefully October 11, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. A passionate musician, Jeanne played the organ and piano in churches for most of her life. She was the Director of Music and church organist at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hernando, Florida since 2009. Prior to that time, she was an accomplished saleswoman for Service Corp International (SCI) and an administrator for Bacone College in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was also active in Pilot International. She was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother “Mimi”, and sister, as well as a friend to countless individuals. She is survived by her daughter Stacy Bahner (Chris Bahner, grandson Jake Bahner), daughter Stephanie Wood (Gilbert Newman), sister Christine Harrell (Steve Harrell), brother Warren Laible (Patricia Laible), brother Richard Laible (the late Frances Laible), and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hernando followed by a lunch celebrating Jeanne’s life. Interment will be at Fero Memorial Gardens (5891 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (439 E. Norvell Bryant Highway, Hernando, FL 34442).
