Mildred Brewer

Mildred Brewer, age 100, of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday February 22, 2018. Mildred was born February 17, 1918 in Madill, Oklahoma to Ray and Poca Darcus Olvey Ratliff. Mildred lived in Oklahoma City for most of her life. Mildred always kept busy working, she worked as a secretary in the oil fields for several years and operated a beauty shop in her home for many years. Mildred worked in food prep for Sky Chef for more than 20 years. She was an accomplished piano player and a tap and ballet dancer during her school years. Mildred is survived by her son James Brewer and wife, Joann of Yukon, step-son Larry Houston of Oklahoma City, granddaughters Sondra Duncan and husband, Randy, Shelly Black and husband, Chris, great grandchildren Joshua Lane and wife Om, Ethan Lane, Chelsea Black, Shelby Black, Christopher Black and her great-great grandson, Ian Lane. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hardy James Brewer, son Jerry DeWayne Brewer, brothers Ray Jr., Verl and Berl Ratliff. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 10:00 AM until service time in the Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel. Funeral service for Mildred will be Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
