Marvin T. Stroud

Marvin T. Stroud passed away May23, 2012. He was 83 years old. He was born September 24, 1928 in El Reno, OK to Raymond H. and Letha Stroud. Marvin was a truck driver for 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp as a medic from January 1946-December 1948. While on leave at home, he met the love of his life Opal M. Shipp in October 1948. They were married on January 1, 1949. To this union, three children, Mike, Phil and Denise were born. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Melvin, Allen and Charles Stroud. He is survived by his wife Opal, sons Michael (Marilyn) Yukon; Marvin Phillip OKC; daughter Denise Gray ( Don) Omaha, NE; 3 brothers; DE, Walter and Paul Stroud; five grandchildren; Micah Stroud CA; Cory Stroud (Brook), OKC; Jason Gray (Janiece) MN; Amanda Tomlin Edmond; Jonathan Gray FL; 6 great grandchildren; Dublin Stroud, Sarah and David Tomlin, Emma, Alyson and Avery Gray. Visitation with family present Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held at Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Interment will be held at Hydro Masonic Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. in Hydro, OK. Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Baptist Village Adams Fund.
