Marvin A. Kramer, 91, went home to his Heavenly Father on December 7, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Marvin was born October 12, 1929 in Junction City, KS and proudly served in the U.S. Army before starting a lifelong career as an electronic engineer with the FAA Aeronautical Center and related subcontractors in OKC. He was a loyal and true graduate of OSU Stillwater, later teaching aeronautics part-time at OSU Tech in OKC in addition to his career work. Marvin was a devoted husband to wife Dorothy and incredible father to his 3 children. He was an active long-time member of Messiah Lutheran Church OKC, serving at various times as elder and on the church council, as well as a dedicated member of his small group and Sunday School class. Marvin loved the outdoors, attaining Master Gardener status in his retirement, and loved watching birds and the constantly changing Oklahoma weather. Marvin and wife Dorothy were blessed to travel the world together and with his children, seeing God’s wonderful creation from South America to Alaska and Hawaii to Europe. Marvin loved being “Gramps” to granddaughters Katie and Grace and to his numerous 4-legged granddogs. He loved coffee, his OSU Cowboys (win or lose), and lifelong learning. Marvin is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy, 3 children, Timothy Kramer of Suwanee, GA, Sharon Hinton and husband Richard of Colleyville, TX, and Rodney Kramer and wife Lisa of Bixby, OK; 2 granddaughters, Katie Kramer and Grace Kramer; sister-in-law Shirley Schuessler and husband Harvey of Alva, OK as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was the last member of his immediate family, preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Amanda (Strauss) Kramer, brothers Edward Kramer, Herbert Kramer, Melvin Kramer and Elmer Kramer and twin sister, Maxine Small. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Marvin’s name to Messiah Lutheran Church OKC.
