Larry David Banks Sr.

Larry David Banks, Sr., age 69, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in Oklahoma City. He was born May 20, 1953 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Otho and Etta Banks. Larry joined the United States Army and proudly served his country receiving an honorable discharge. Larry earned his Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and worked as a police officer in Blanchard for a few years. He also worked as an armored guard for Purolator. He then got his journeyman license and worked in heat and air, from which he retired. Larry was a very talented musician and enjoyed getting together with friends on the weekends to play. Larry also enjoyed astrology and shopping – mainly antique stores and pawn shops – always looking for a good deal. He loved his family and was always their biggest supporter. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ricky Banks.

He is survived by his children, Larri Chettri and her daughter, Meagan Fish, Dave Banks and his son Joshua David Banks, Ruben Dean Spradlin, Sissy Alford, Darla Mae Spradlin, Denise Heilman, and Jessie Dean; brothers, Richard Banks and Don Banks; as well as a host of other family and friends.
