Emogene “Gene” Lytle was born June 20, 1940 in Houston, Texas to Theodore and Emma Rampey. Gene passed from this life April 24, 2024 in Bethany, Oklahoma after a well-fought battle with cancer. She loved traveling the world and lived in Kifissia, Greece for a time, but nothing compared to the joy and love she found in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gene loved cooking and baking for her family, but the special cookies for the grandchildren were at the top of her list. She especially looked forward to sharing a roast every Sunday with her family after church. Gene never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family and participate in their activities. She was a wicked scrabble player and looked forward to playing other games with her family and friends. She loved working crossword puzzles and working in her garden and was blessed with a green thumb. Her daughters, Deborah Smith, Kathryn Jenkins, son William Lytle and wife Sheri survive her. Grandchildren, Travis Jenkins and wife Emily, John Lytle, Josiah Smith, Jacob Smith and wife Sicily, and Kathryn Lytle. Great grandchildren, Oliver Jenkins and three additional expected in the coming weeks and cousin, Carolyn Rampey all survive her.
