Cheryl Ann Camp, 61, passed away on July 20, 2023. She was born in Oklahoma City on April 27, 1962. Cheryl attended Heritage Hall High school and graduated from Northwest Classen High school. After high school she moved to Denver, Colorado and then moved to Savannah, Georgia where she received her college degree. While in Savannah, Cheryl started as a reporter and worked her way to editor of the Island Gazette weekly newspaper on Tybee Island. She also managed City Market in Savannah. After returning to Oklahoma City in her late 20’s she went to work for Feed the Children. Cheryl was selected as the first Public Information Officer with the OK State Supreme Court. She handled state, national and international public relations for the Terry Nichols trial for the bombing of Murrah building. She also taught continuing education classes to state judges regarding various aspects of public relations. Her next position was running the OSU Farmers Market in OKC. Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Lora Lee Camp and is survived by her father, George Camp of OKC, brother, Dr. Mark Camp and wife, Camille of Norman, niece, Madeline Camp of OKC, nephew, Ian Camp of Tulsa as well as other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Services for Cheryl are pending at this time.
