James William Huber, 77, passed away on June 5, 2024 in Bentonville. He was born on October 15, 1946 in Fayetteville, AR to the late Victor E. and Mary Edna Francis (Burgin) Huber. He was a lifelong resident of Benton County and worked for many years as a volunteer firefighter in Centerton. James had a machine shop in Centerton for many years. He was a farmer who loved to hunt, fish, drag race and watch Nascar. He liked to soup up old cars. He loved going to car shows with their 69 Chevelle and talking to everyone. James also liked to travel with his wife. They would hook up the camper and head out whenever they were able. James dearly loved his grandkids, who called him “Goofy Grandpa”, never met a stranger, and helped all those in need.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Bentonville; daughters, Deb Lindsay of Decatur, JoAnna Coffelt and her husband, Charlie of Hiwasse, and Tina Burton and her husband, Mike of Pea Ridge; brother, George Huber and wife Nancy of Centerton; 8 grandchildren, Leandra Holt (Jesse), Karlie Lindsay, Andrew Lindsay, Braton Coffelt (Bailey), Dariann Coffelt, Wyatt Coffelt, Ethan Burton, and KynLey Burton. 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He would also claim anyone the girls brought home or walked through the door.
A visitation will be on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 4 to 6pm in Vaughn Presbyterian Church in Vaughn, Arkansas with a funeral on Monday at 11am at the church. Burial to follow at Barron Cemetery, Bentonville.
