Mary K. Curtis (Poehler),87, daughter of Ernst J. and Mamie (Scamell) Poehler, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Mary attended St. Peters grade school, Bishop Hogan High School in Kansas City, MO and Mount St. Scholastica Collage in Atchison, KS. She married Tom Curtis in 1947 and had five children, Tom died in 1998. Mary loved her work at the Federal Records Center and retired in July 1992.
She is survived by her five children, Jim Curtis and wife Judy, Tom Curtis, Mary Joan Fisher and husband Lance, Michael Curtis and Katie Curtis; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation 6-8 pm, Rosary 6 pm, Tuesday, September 8, Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am Wednesday, September 9 at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis, Belton. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Atchison KS. Contributions are suggested to Kansas City Hospice.
