Marilyn was born in Tacoma, Washington on January 15th 1931. She grew up spending her summers at Sunrise Beach. At the age of 15, Marilyn met the love of her life, Bert, the brother of her best friend, Ginny. She was a Stadium High Tigeranna and a May Princess. Marilyn enjoyed boating, golfing, painting, gardening and tending to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marilyn and Bert raised their 3 children in Spokane, Seattle, Montreal, California and Mercer Island. They remained soulmates for 68 years until the time of her passing.
Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Bert, her sister, Joanne O’Connor, her sister-in-law, Jarnelle Knapp, her three children Janet (Randy Burns), Jill (Rick Park), and Steve (Lorie), 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Marilyn will be 2:00 pm Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Bellevue. Entombment will be held privately at Sunset Hills Memorial Park. For more information, please call (425) 746-1400.
