Kathleen "Kay" Rogan Jamieson

Kathleen was born May 7, 1957, and lived in Kentucky until 1971, when her family moved to Bellevue, WA. Kay graduated from Sammamish high school in 1975. After high school, Kay attended Washington State University where she graduated with a Pharmacy degree in 1980.

In 1980 Kay also married Scott Jamieson. While they would divorce 22 years later, together they had 3 children, Justin, born 7/14/88; Steven, who was born 4/28/90; and Kristen, born 5/16/94. Kay also was a surrogate for her brother, Pat Rogan, and sister-in-law Coral, giving birth to their son Benjamin.

While raising her children, Kay occasionally worked part-time as a pharmacist in Fairwood and Kent. However, her main focus was always on her children. She often said that nothing in her life brought her as much happiness as her three kids.

In 2010 Kay reconnected with her high school sweetheart, Larry Cartwright. They immediately fell for each other again. Kay and Larry were engaged and had been looking forward to spending many more years together. During her time with Larry, Kay was happier than she had been in a long time.

While Kay will be greatly missed, she will not soon be forgotten. She leaves behind a large imprint with those that she touched, and three children who are reflections of her love and best qualities.
