Joan was born to Alvin and Frances Stenstrom on December 22, 1931 in Tacoma, Washington.

Her favorite passion was quilting, donating many to various shelters, organizations, and friends. Joan also loved her church. She served on numerous committees. It was always her custom to bring either treats or flowers to any occasion at church! Joan would always offer a word of praise, and a chuckle in her voice! She was an avid reader, as she felt there is always something to learn. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Joan joins her husband, parents, daughters Annette and Yvonne, and her brother Bill in Heaven. She is survived by her son Paul, Granddaughter Heather, Great grandchildren, and extended family.
