A 62 year resident of Bellevue, Eileen lived her life in service to others: family, friends, and church. Among the founding members of the First United Methodist Church of Bellevue, she and Dad lived the Christian life by example. Throughout her life, she was active in many charitable, civic, and cultural organizations, as well as watch and netsuke collecting, creating beautiful crocheted gifts, and enjoying music in any form.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Delbert Lewis. She is lovingly remembered by three children: Dr. Gregory Lewis (Stevie) of Spokane, David Lewis of Seattle, and Nancy Cole of Port Orchard. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of extended family members.
Memorial Services will be held at Bellevue First United Methodist Church, 1934 108th Ave. NE, Bellevue on Saturday, October 19 at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Bellevue, Bellevue at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Eileen’s name to the Bellevue First United Methodist Church or Evergreen Hospice.
