After graduation, Don's passion for music went further and in 1957 he was the organist in the band, The Playboys, until 1962. He id noted for playing the Hammond B3 in the band Red Beans and Rice in 1978. Not only did Don play in several great Jazz bands throughout his career; he also played in various venues, including the Black and Tan Club. As a historical figure in the Seattle Music Scene, more information about this aspect of his life can be seen at the EMP museum.
Another passion he will be remembered for, is his love of cars. He is affiliated with multiple organizations like the Cascade Pacific Plymouth Club and the Oldsmobile Club of America to name a few. Don has an extensive collection of cars that he restored, like his prized Old Plymouths and Starfires. His cars frequently won high awards at the car shows that he entered.
Don was a joker and had a crazy sense of humor, that his family and friends will always remember. Each of us will hold dear the time we spent being with him; for he made each time with him special. He is survived by his significant other of 30 years Josee Stewart, sister Anita Osias and his children; Rainai Jimicum, Laurie Osias, Nina Osias, Tony Osias, Crystal Osias, Denise Roach, Letha Grandpre, Lynnette Osias. Grandchildren: Morena Lopez, Teesha Osias, Lakea Osias, Destiny Osias, Faith Osias, Christina Perez, Tara Osias, Anthony Bob, Brandon Osias, Toby Mcleod, Tiana Mcleod, Jake Roach, Nathan Osias, Lynessa Osias, and Alicia Derra. Great Grandchildren: Victoria King, Lawrence Thompson, Camron Thompson, Gloria Williams, Louis (Dito) Perez, Angel Carmona, Leticia Carmona, Anthony Carmona, Merecedes Carmona, and Keaton Osias, and Laycie Wayne. Great-Great Grandchildren; Priscilla Perez,. Proceeded in death by: his parents Frank and Letha Osias, his son Anthony Osias and his grandchild Latasha Osias.
