Sandra’s greatest joy in life was being an involved and participating mother and grandmother to her two children and six grandchildren. She was a dedicated homemaker and always made room in her heart and home for a child in need or a stray animal. Sandra loved watching her grandchildren participate and enjoy their school and sporting activities. She had a great sense of style and always knew exactly what to wear for any occasion. Sandra always enjoyed a weekend trip to Tunica with her best friend Kathy, or an afternoon at the casinos with her brother Bill and sister-in-law Barb. She was truly the family matriarch and will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Anton and Edith, nee Adams, Sulentic; her husband, Michael H. Lawson; her sister-in-law Barbara Sulentic; and her beloved Charlie dog.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, daughter, Jackquelin (Mark) Hoppenjans of Pacific Palisades, CA; and son Michael H. (Jennifer) Lawson II of Belleville, IL. Her grandchildren Christian Hoppenjans, Isabella Hoppenjans, and Noah Hoppenjans; Taylor Lawson, Olivia Lawson, and Elijah Lawson. Also surviving are her brothers, William Sulentic and Joseph Sulentic; sister Sharyn (Remington) Logue; uncle Vincent Totino and her nieces, nephews, cousins, God daughter, Lisa Arnold and Jeffrey Goretzke.
