Robert was a man who loved many things—including fishing, beer, horseshoes, and family gatherings. He was a family man who doubled as a deer hunter and handyman.
Robert is preceded in death by his: parents, Edgar and Marie (nee Dunn) Ates; grandchild, Tori Riley; and brother-in-law, Danny Stewart.
Left to cherish his memory are his: children, Michelle (Richard) Riley and Robert (Wendy) Ates II; grandchildren, Katlyn Hoerz, Jessica (Alex) Castillo, Alyssa (Tad) Kreamalmeyer, Kendra Turner, Robert (Gabby) Ates III, Ryan Hebel, and Angelo (Leah) Riley; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Lorelei, Eli, Elleigh, Alex, Cooper, Veda, Weston, and Jude; and sisters, Trudy (Danny, who has passed) Stewart, Judy Clawson, and Kathy (Lee) Jenkins
Memorials can be made to the hospice facility which aided Robert, Heartland Hospice.
