Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Wilmer and Margaret Rohn, her brother Roger Rohn, and the love of her life, Allen, whom she wed on June 29, 1957, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Belleville, IL, and together they had three children.
Nancy worked as a secretary for First National Bank of Belleville. She then spent about 11 years as a homemaker, followed by her job at Memorial Hospital as the operating room admin assistant. Nancy then enjoyed her 1st and 2nd grade teaching position at Governor French Academy. She also owned a private tutoring business. Nancy studied theology extensively and received her Doctor of Divinity.
Nancy had a love of music. Over the years she played the organ for her church and sang in her church choirs. She enjoyed going to many of her grandchildren’s band and music concerts and dance recitals. She also attended sporting events and many of the extra-curricular activities her grandchildren were involved in.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters Lana (James) Spargur and Lori Taylor; son Wayne (Jeannine) Taylor; grandchildren, Allen (Jennifer) Spargur, Aaron (Erin) Spargur, Sidnie (Kyra Jordan) Spargur, Emily Taylor, and Cole Taylor; great-grandchildren, James Spargur and Isla Spargur; plus, numerous beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
