Linda was a parishioner at St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church in Belleville, Ill. She was proud to be a member of the 1967 graduating class of the Academy of Notre Dame. She was very active with the Girl Scouts of America and received her 50 year pin. She dedicated much of her time to volunteering and helping those who were less fortunate or in need of help. She participated in walks and fundraisers for the American Cancer Society and spent time helping our veterans at the Missouri Veterans Home and Jefferson Barracks. She was also, past president, of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1739 in Belleville and an election judge. She enjoyed scrapbooking and playing bingo; but most of all enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Niki, nee Schlich, Brough and a granddaughter, Madison Kolle.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Daniel “Dan” Schomber, of Belleville, Illinois; her daughters, Michelle (Ash) Holland, of Redondo Beach, California, Rebecca (John Squire) Kolle, of Round Lake Park, Illinois, and Cheri (Jason) Whiteside, of Belleville, Illinois; her grandchildren, Sara, Brynn, Logan, Payton, Landen, Preston, Kylie, Preston, and Colton; her siblings, Marcia Johnston, Norman “Bill” (Susan) Brough, Jon (Wendy) Brough, Diana Lugge, Steven Brough, and Ronda Brough; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
