Larry Darnell Miller

Larry is preceded in death by his father, Larry Miller, his mother, Barbara Blount, sister, Carolyn Miller, sister, Ruth Gray Stringfellow, and sister, JoAnn Baxton.

Larry is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Holman) Miller of Belleville, Illinois, special “Paw Paw” to Jayvion Holman, daughter, Kalia Miller, son, Larry Miller, step-daughter, Sierra Holman, step-daughter, Brianna Lane, five grandchildren; Sydney Corbino, Rosario Corbino, Raelynn Marshall, Stacia Marshal, Jayvion Holman, brother, Tony (Darlene) Stringfellow, sister, Marletta (Tony) Webb, sister, Maretta (David) Shaw, sister, Barbara (Cortez) Hopkins, sister, Jacqueline (Carlos) Byrd, sister, Janet Clark, sister, Tara Miller, sister, Judy Stringfellow and a host of nieces and nephews who loved Larry dearly.

Larry was a graduate of Cahokia High School where he played football and was also on the wrestling team which went to State Championship competition. Immediately upon graduation he served his country in the United States Army. He was a Truck Driver by trade for the past 25 years and worked with JD Distributing in Fairmont City, Illinois, at the time of his passing. He thoroughly enjoyed what he did.

Larry was the type of person that everyone loved as he did not know a stranger. Larry was always the life of the party and kept everyone laughing. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. Larry was a great provider and would help anyone in their time of need. If you had the opportunity to meet Larry, you had the chance to meet one of the best guys in the world. Larry was the best husband, brother, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was a great friend to many and as such will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Monday, July 19th, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
