Kathleen V. Bailey

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Florence (Haar) Butz, and husband, Gerald Bailey, to whom she had been married from August 3rd, 1963 until his passing on March 30th, 2010. Survived by her sister Patricia (Joe) Merriman Belleville, IL and David (Cathy) Butz Belleville, IL.

Surviving are her children, Paul Bailey of Belleville, IL, John (Krysten) Bailey of Seguine, TX, and Amy (Todd) Gladfelter of Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren, Austin Bailey, Logan Bailey, Rebecca Bailey, Samantha Bailey, Bailey Gladfelter and Grayson Gladfelter. Great grandchild Colton Bailey and daughters-in-law, Ronda Thomas and Debra Bailey.

Kathleen had earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Washington University, School of Nursing, Saint Louis, MO and had worked as a Registered Nurse at multiple hospitals and teaching universities throughout her career. Family, friends and her career were her passion. She approached all aspects of her life with enthusiasm and love. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, gardening, shopping and cooking.

Visitation will be Monday, October 17th, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral will be Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at 11:00 am at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home,

Belleville, Illinois. There will be an additional time to gather and visit one hour prior to service.

Interment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
