Dear brother of the late Joe (late Virgie) Florek.
Joseph was a World War II Navy Veteran. He volunteered after Pearl Harbor and served on the USS Manley, USS Wisconsin, USS Portsmouth, and the USS Fargo. He actively served in the capture and defense of Guadalcanal, the consolidation of the Southern Solomons, the occupation of Kwajalein, the Marianas Occupation, the Leyte Landings, and the Luzon Landings.
Joseph retired as a chemical operator with Monsanto. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved to travel. His favorite destinations were Italy and Poland.
