Bernice C. Duecker

Bernice was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Sparta, IL. She enjoyed spending time on the farm where you could find her gardening, fishing, manicuring her flower beds, or tending to her chickens, dogs, and cats.

Mrs. Duecker is survived by her daughter Cynthia Smith; son, Kevin (Marla) Duecker; daughter-in-law Mary Duecker; grandchildren, Julie (Blake) Schneider, Douglas (Danita) Duecker, Joseph (Karie) Duecker, Andrew (Erica) Duecker, Barbara (Paul) Hegel, Catherine (Fred) Clutts, Victoria Smith, and Joshua Smith; great grandchildren, Houston, Lance, Adrian, Mark, Christian, Shawn, Kaitlyn, Jeffrey, and Jillian; step grandchildren, Allison and Nick; sisters, Theresa Pendegraft, Loretta McMillian, Dorothy Renth, Mary Ann (Joe) Klohr, Patricia Deutsch; Frances Renth; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Rose Klich; husband, Paul Duecker; son, Donald Duecker; granddaughter, Amanda Duecker; sisters, Stella (Joseph) Madura, Helen (Jeff) Ismail, Jane Renth brothers Steve (Agnes) Klich; John Klich; brothers-in-law, Russel Renth, Arthur Renth, Ralph Renth, James McMillian, Dennis Deutsch; Carl Pendegraft.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 26, 2018 with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Shiloh, IL.
