Sister Susanne Ruane, CCVI

Sister was born in Belmont, Co. Galway, Ireland on April 9, 1938 to Thomas Ruane and Margaret Giblin Ruane. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word on June 22, 1953. Sister Susanne consecrated her life to God through Final Profession of Vows on August 15, 1961.

The mission of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word is to incarnate God’s love to all. Sister was faithful to this mission in the ministries where she served.

Sister Susanne is survived by her sisters, brothers and a number of nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Thank you to all the staff that gave loving and compassionate care to Sister during her retirement and sickness.

Sister’s body will be received at the Immaculate Conception Chapel, Villa de Matel, 6510 Lawndale, Houston, Texas at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, June 14, 2024. Evening Praise will follow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Chapel at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Rite of Committal will follow at Villa de Matel Cemetery.
