Patricia Shipman Thrasher, aged 70, beloved mother, sister and friend, passed away on Wednesday the 23rd of March. Despite being a private person, she was funny, friendly, and enjoyed being around others. She was passionate about education and was pursuing a PhD in Theological Studies. She held a soft spot in her heart for animals, especially dogs.
She is preceded in death by parents Harry Shipman and Irma Thomas Shipman. She is survived by sons Jeff Peterson and Todd Thrasher, sister Judy Thomas, several nieces and nephews, and extended family in Louisiana and Oklahoma. A celebration of her life was held in her home on April 3rd in Conroe, Texas, where she became a active part of a welcoming community.
We will miss her good humor, her gentle encouragement, and her ability to tell stories.
