Maureen M. Gilroy

Maureen Catherine McGarrity Gilroy passed away February 2, 2023. She was born May 17, 1933 to the late Arthur and Rose McGarrity. She was preceded in death by her Husband, John William Gilroy. She is survived by her children, John Gilroy, Jr. and wife Brenda, Mary Gilroy Hansberger and husband William, Muriel Gilroy Bebel and husband Chris and Robert Gilroy; grandchildren: John Gilroy, Jr. and wife Ashley, Kyle Gilroy and wife Margaret, Claire Gilroy, Steffani Hansberger Barnes and husband James, Theresa Hansberger, William Hansberger, Shannon Bebel, Christian Bebel and Patrick Gilroy; great grandchildren, Katherine Rose Gilroy, Jack Gilroy, Joann Gilroy, Colleen Gilroy and Elizabeth Gilroy.

Maureen and John were founding members of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and were very active in the Bazaar, so much so that Maureen created the Dinner for Two Booth.

She was very proud of owning MMG Bookkeeping company for 30 years. She also worked for Holy Ghost Catholic School, Fowler Engineering, Idacon, Inc., The Smile Store and Jonmar Electric.

Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm, with a 6pm Prayer service, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am, Thursday, February 9, 2023 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 8200 Roos Rd., Houston, TX 77036.

Maureen and John were both very passionate about raising their four children with Catholic Grade School and High School Educations, and always raised as much money as possible for St. Francis de Sales Catholic School.
