Larry grew up in Houston Texas surrounded by an extended family. In his teenage years he was involved with Congregation Beth Israel, the JCC and BBYO. He excelled as an athlete and was on the cheerleading team at Westbury high school. His favorite sport was tennis where he competed in tournaments throughout Texas and achieved a state ranking.
After graduating from Arizona State University he went on to complete an MBA. His successful business career started in CA in healthcare management. He was the founder and president of Spectrum Health Network in the emerging digital signage industry. He had an opportunity to move to NYC to join Health Media Network (HMN) where he held numerous executive positions including Chief Operating Officer for the last nine years. He was a highly respected healthcare media executive and expert in the industry, serving on advisory boards and speaking at industry events.
Larry was especially proud of his two beautiful children Jack and Lilia. He was a wonderful hands on father and loved them both with all his heart and soul.
Larry will be remembered for his kind soul, great sense of humor and generous nature. He was also an amazing friend who will be greatly missed.
Larry is survived by his parents Dennis Newman and Harriet Newman, his sister Robyn Hill, Beth Newman, and his children Lilia and Jack Newman.
